Alice Poltorick, director of communications for the New England Province; Erica Zlomislic, communications officer for the English-speaking Jesuits in Canada; and Marcus Bleech, the publications manager for the Jesuit Conference were among the conference attendees at AEJP's 13th annual conference at Santa Clara University. Presenter Ken Eklund helped attendees understand alternative reality games and how they can be used to harness the wisdom of crowds in pursuit of social justice.

Attendees got to know the AEJP venue by taking a tour of Santa Clara's campus prior to the opening session of the conference. |
Santa Clara's new president, Fr. Michael Engh, SJ, spoke at the conference banquet.

Attendees took a tour of Testarossa Winery in Los Gatos. From 1888 to 1986, the winery was owned and run by the California Province. Jesuit novices labored in the vineyards, harvesting grapes. In 2005, Testarossa reopened the winery and brought back the Novitiate label, which graced the original bottles. |
At the dinner hosted by Bellarmine College Prep in San Jose, Michael Malone, author and former reporter who covered the rise of Silicon Valley, gave the keynote speech.
