Conference 2000 - Loyola University New Orleans
Highlights: Prof. Gauvin Alexander Bailey, art historian at Clark College and author of Art on the Jesuit Missions, gave a multimedia presentation on the communications techniques of the early Jesuits. |
John Brady and Greg Paul of Brady & Paul Communications held an all-day workshop on magazine covers, current design trends, and a critique of magazines submitted by conference participants. |
|
Other conference sessions, chaired by AEJP members, covered ways of promulgating the Ignatian Vision and Mission and keeping those "must run" stories fresh and appealing.
AEJP invited photography and public relations professionals from the New Orleans area to give presentations as well. Arthur Stern, editor of Loyola University New Orleans magazine, hosted a cocktail party for conference attendees at his French Quarter apartment. Conference participants enjoyed Cajun food and music at Patout's restaurant a few blocks away after cocktails at Arthur's. Most people remember having a very good time. |
